They have already punished other programs when it was found players took money from an agent during the season. There wasn't a lot of media during those past times sticking up for the school.

Now that Florida, Bama, and UNC might have some trouble the media is changing their tune. I think the NCAA needs to either stick with what they have done in the past and make those teams vacate their seasons or change it as not to punish the school as harshly and go back and reinstate all those past schools that had to vacate seasons because a player took money from an agent.

To be honest, I think a huge portion of the blame should be laid on the NCAA itself. If they want to be responsible for clearing these player then they should suck up most of the blame when they mess it up. A school should only be held accountable if they either knew or should have known the kid was cheating. Same with the coaches.

Anyone that is knowingly breaking the rules should be held accountable. Usually the school pays the highest price while everyone else walks away laughing.

Nick Saban hit the nail on the head. Punish the agents. Suspend their license for up to two years so they can't work with anyone. Somehow they've got to keep these agents from even being near these kids.
